2013 Annual Event: Nourish Their Dreams
Description:
The Children’s Lunchbox is thrilled to be partnering with the Alaska Culinary Association again and co-hosting our second annual “Nourish their Dreams” benefit.
Last year this event brought together local chef’s to display their signature touch on classic Alaskan cuisine and this year will be no different. Big thanks to Chef Patrick Hoogerhyde and Chef Al Levinsohn for donating their space at the beautiful Bridge restaurant for this spectacular night out! There will be live entertainment and silent and live auctions with something for everyone!
Proceeds from ticket sales and auction items will help us continue to feed hungry children and help the Culinary Association to provide scholarships for continued education opportunities for our youth. When kids have opportunities to improve their lives, everyone benefits. Food provides the building blocks children need to reach their full potential (research identifies that continued hunger during infancy and childhood affects every aspect of a child's development and health). Our causes at The Children’s Lunchbox and the Alaska Culinary Association have not changed. We are more focused than ever. The need is greater than ever, and the chance to make an impact even greater still!
This year we are pleased to welcome returning chefs from many fine dining establishments as well as some new ones. Special thanks bears repeating since this event wouldn’t be possible without the many hours of hard work by a dedicated group of staff and volunteers along with financial support from a long list of sponsors.
Please join us for a sampling of the best food Alaska has to offer and then buy a vote (or several) for your favorite dish. The chef with the most votes over the course of the evening will receive the People’s Choice Award at the end of the event.
Space is limited so purchase tickets early! Hope to see you there!
We are sorry but registration for this event is now closed.
Please contact us if you would like to know if spaces are still available.
